Our Mission
The mission of the Liberty Symphony Orchestra is to enhance the quality of life in the greater Liberty community by promoting the enjoyment and appreciation of classical music.
This mission will be accomplished through:
Musical Excellence
Performing outstanding professional concerts of classical music by a community orchestra composed of professional and non-professional musicians.
Providing renowned guest artists to enhance the variety of musical selections.
Community Outreach
Uniting people through the medium of music, and encouraging service to others.
Raising aspirations, deepening compassion and promoting harmony in both audience and performers through continuous service
to Liberty and William Jewell College.
Education
Educating children in the understanding and appreciation of classical music by explaining and performing music for local elementary students.
Providing a venue for promising student musicians to gain experience through performing with professionals.
Human Potential Shaping a partnership that brings out the best in musicians, staff, volunteers and supporters.
Financial Stability Formulating a funding plan that commits the entire community to sustain a local symphony orchestra.
