Join the LSO Junior Board of Directors!
What is the Junior Board of Directors?
The Liberty Symphony Orchestra’s Junior Board of Directors is comprised of 12-15 high school youth who apply, interview and are selected to serve a one year term. They meet monthly and learn about nonprofits, philanthropy and leadership, while providing a youth perspective to the adult board and management.
- Learn about the Liberty Symphony Orchestra and the role arts organizations play in the community;
- Receive a basic background in board service, marketing and public relations, event planning and philanthropy;
- Provide insight and ideas on programming and ways to reach out to diverse audiences;
- Develop basic presentation, communications and business skills;
- Represent the organization at special events and functions; and
- Meet new friends from schools around Clay County.
